Hi All,

In a following post, we will see how to migrate site and sub sites under the site by using MetaLogix SharePoint Console from MOSS 2007 to SharePoint Foundation(Server) 2013. In my Source Environment  , we had some custom site templates and Meeting Workspace and etc., kind of Templates which are not supported in(specially Meeting Workspace Template) SharePoint 2013. And Even I am migrating to SharePoint Foundation Environment L

In this post, we will see how to change the Site Template and child Site Template while Migrating thru Metalogix SharePoint Console.

If the Template is not exists in Target Environment we will get the below error:

Exception: AddWeb - No ObjectXml [The template ' [10010]'does not exist on the target server. Please install this template on the target machine or map it to an existing template.]

Step 1:
First , I am copying Site from my source . here we are using “Connect to SharePoint Database”

Step 2:
Paste the copied site in Target by clicking on “Paste site as Sub site”.

Step 3:
Now, We need to Configure Site Copying Options.
  1. Click on “Site Options” tab
  2. Check the “Change Template” and select  required Template from the dropdown (In my case I am selecting TeamSite)
  3. Check the “Copy Child Sites recursively”

Step 4:
  1. Click on “Mapping Options” tab
  2. Check the “Map Child Site Templates” and click on box besides to it

Step 5:
Now, we need to Map the Web Templates
Here, we can find the Source and Target Web Templates, we need to map one by one.

Select the source template and right click on it -> Map to -> select the Template.

Now, In a following image you can see all the mapped Templates.

Then click on “OK”  and “Run” the Migration all the sites will be migrated in single click.
Hope it useful.
Thanks.
