Hi All,
In a following post , We will see how to fix error "Could not write value to key\SOFTWARE". We will get this issue while installing MS SQL Server.
Open Registry Editor .
Step 2:
Expand Computer Tab and Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software",right click on Software and Click on Permissions.
Step 3:
Specify "Everyone" in the Users and click on Ok.
Step 4:
Now,We need to give Permissions to the "Everyone" as "Full Control"
Step 5:
Repeat the steps 2,3,4 for the following path also.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE.
Now , Restart the System and Try to Install the SQL Again.
If you still facing the same issue,Just do the following download following software from the below link and Install it in your server and Clean up adwares in Machine.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/dl/125/
After installing it , We need scan machine and run clean up.
Restart Server and Install SQL Server ,Now it will surely work.
