Admin SVC must be running in order to create deployment timer job

Hi All,

When you are installing / Updating wsp package(http://sharepointkitchen.blogspot.in/2014/10/wsp-deployments-in-sharepoint-using.html), sometimes you may get the below error.

“Admin SVC must be running in order to create deployment timer job.”

Resolution for the above error is as follows.

Open Services (Services.msc) from the Server and look for SharePoint Administration Service

Start the SharePoint Administration Service and try to update/install the wsp .Change the Start type of the service to Automatic if it is Manual from the service Properties.
